Each tool needs to have its place and I need to be able to know exactly where that is without looking. Unlike any other tool, belts are an item where personal preference is the main factor determining usability. I have owned a lot of tool belts over the years, and some have only been used for a few days. All in all it seems like a really well thought out framing solution.
Framers suspension rig full#
When it was shipped to me the suspenders were attached to the bags which makes sense for distributing load but there were also a couple 4 loops with D rings on the belt that you can hook the suspenders to if you don't want to carry the full rig - or just one pocket. If my previous experience with Dead On is any indicator this belt should last me a while. This is the lightest weight offering in Dead On Tools belt with suspenders line up and even at that, there is plenty of room for whatever you are carrying.

Nail pouches are fine for small jobs but for framing you really use a gamut of tools and its nice to have them all within easy reach and to be able to know where they are versus setting them down somewhere and then looking for them later. As I got older I was having enough trouble keeping my pants up much less a heavy tool belt. The last couple of years I kind of gave up on my old tool belt. Dead On Tools makes some really good stuff for framers - I still have my Exhumer and its still one of my favorites.
